Degradation Studies of Air-Exposed Black Phosphorous and Black Arsenic Phosphorous
نویسندگان
چکیده
This work investigates the effects of oxygen and humidity on black phosphorous (BP) arsenic (AsxP1−x ) flakes using Raman spectroscopy in situ electric transport measurements (four-probe resistance thermoelectric power, TEP). The results show that incorporation into lattice BP renders it more stable, with degradation times for BP, As0.2P0.8, As0.4P0.6 being 4, 5, 11 days, respectively. P-P peak intensities were determined to decrease exposure moisture. TEP confirmed both AsxP1−x are p-type semiconductors stabilizing slowly than BP. In addition, four-probe stabilized significantly faster when exposed air after degassed a vacuum. was attributed charge transfer between redox potential Fermi energy (EF) semiconductors.

متن کاملQuantum-confinement and Structural Anisotropy result in Electrically-Tunable Dirac Cone in Few-layer Black Phosphorous
Two-dimensional (2D) materials are well-known to exhibit interesting phenomena due to quantum confinement. Here, we show that quantum confinement, together with structural anisotropy, result in an electric-field-tunable Dirac cone in 2D black phosphorus. Using density functional theory calculations, we find that an electric field, E ext, applied normal to a 2D black phosphorus thin film, can re...
متن کاملPhosphorous Metabolism of Brain
This small book amply fulfills the promise of its title; it is one of the best books on a specific aspect of brain metabolism to appear in recent years. The first two chapters cover phosphorus metabolism in the brain in vivo and include studies on the levels of phosphorylated compounds in the brain under various conditions. In addition, changes in the phosphate levels in the developing brain ar...
متن کاملPhosphorous Efficiency and Tolerance Traits for Selection of Sorghum for Performance in Phosphorous-Limited Environments
Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) is widely cultivated in West Africa (WA) on soils with low phosphorus (P) availability. Large genetic variation for grain yield (GY) under low-P conditions was observed among WA sorghum genotypes, but information is lacking on the usefulness of P-tolerance ratios (relative performance in –P [no P fertilizer] vs. +P [with P fertilizer] conditions) and measur...
